In Wine, Truth

Joba Chamberlain is finding himself in a little more hot water because of that DUI arrest in October. Video has emerged in which Joba calls New Yorkers rude and bad drivers.

Of course, Joba might want to take a good, long, hard look at himself before calling someone else a bad driver. He had just been caught driving while intoxicated and with an open bottle of Crown Royal on the seat of his BMW. If ever there was a case of the pot calling the kettle black ...

But really, how big of deal is this? It's not like New Yorkers have never before been called rude or bad drivers -- though Joba should try driving around the streets of Boston some time -- that's all part of New York's charm.

To me, the bigger issue was the DUI. Let's just hope he's learned his lesson from that and make something positive come out of that awful decision.

Just A Coincidence?

The much anticipated release of Selena Roberts' Alex Rodriguez book has been delayed. According to the story, Roberts says she needs more time to complete the book. My gut tells me this is more about A-Rod being on the field when the book comes out. Something tells me if A-Rod had started the season healthy, the books would be hitting the shelves just in time for the Yankees' home opener.

One More Thing
The Yankees visited the White House on their off day Tuesday. Count on them making a return visit in the fall.

Today's Game
Chien-Ming Wang vs. Koji Uehara, 7:05 p.m., YES

The Yankees have a history of struggling against pitchers they have never faced. It will be interesting to see if that continues.
